Knowing that an estimated 20% of the Environmental Impact (EI) of any given garment lifecycle post-purchase is determined by the degree of integration and collaboration of its life-phase issues, our products are produced with mindful measures like less waste, multi-purpose design, time-tested and long-lasting quality, vetted sources, repurposing, and ethical labour.
We have a lot to say about how much we believe that clothing is a pivotal tool in a person's (and on a larger scale - generation's) voice, freedom and power. We all know that fashion can come off insincere and frivolous on the surface, especially nowadays. But the truth is, it is the skin we choose to work in, live in, love in, be in throughout our entire lives. Our clothes are utilitarian and go beyond to determine the efficiency of our work, our communication, our comfort, and our expression. So, by no means, do we agree that to meet our wants and needs, should another's life, environment and future be jeopardized at cost.
RECIRCULATION We're proud to say that we've nourished our collection of the second-hand and vintage collection since 2012. In this collection, you'll find vintage and recirculated second-hand items sourced from private collections, vintage shops and thrift shops called Ukay-ukay. Due to the nature of the procurement, our Quality Control process takes a little under two months before collections are up on site. We wash, repair and catalogue the pieces with laborious eco-friendly methods.
REPURPOSING Only since recently have we attempted our up-cycled and repurposed designs. We've created our first collection of Artist Tote bags made of remnant fabrics called Retasos and rice sack fabric. We're in WIP status for future collections.
DESIGNER CAPSULES Creating a platform for designers incentivised to create sustainably is very meaningful to us. We believe highly that designers and their innovation and art will propel the fashion industry and to support their growth, we, in turn, commit to growing our community and means.
